ENOWA is a company that is committed to transforming and realising the sustainable possibilities of energy and water. As the launch-pad for their own sustainable energy and water company, the firm chose the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2022 in Abu Dhabi – an event internationally renowned for its influence in accelerating the transition to clean energy. To ensure maximum impact on government dignitaries, C-level industry professionals and media, ENOWA entrusted Pico’s design, build and digital activation services to create their 465 sq. m. booth.
Inspired by the fluid shapes of canyons, the stand’s curved, contoured walls and circular layout gently compelled visitors along an immersive and highly informative journey. The walls themselves were clad with bendable LED screen panels depicting natural scenes ranging from desert and undersea vistas to mountain ranges and sunsets. Frequent touchpoints along the way showcased various renewable energy initiatives via mechanical sliding screens, spherical projection and other state-of-the-art technologies. The visuals and interactive elements drew visitors to explore the brand further in the stand’s experience zones.
Sustainability was the highlight of the brand’s presence at WFES, with over 70% of the stand’s materials being locally sourced, organic and/or reusable. Notably, this included a distinctive display wall made from ‘Brine’, a byproduct of salt water filteration, and external walls clad in real moss. Even the decorative live plants were sourced from a local nursery and re-housed after the show. Waste was also minimised after the event, with the stand’s steel components, AV screens and platform decking all being recycled.
Ultimately, the stand not only achieved the company’s goals, but was also aligned with their values and mission, setting a fine example for future sustainable design practice.
