Pico activations at the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27)

In November 2022, Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, was the site of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change – better known as COP27. Pico was appointed to activate 10 booths for the event, using services including production and installation of infrastructure, AV installation, brand activation, and provision of technology solutions.

Here are Pico activations from COP27:

Brazil Pavilion
Themed ‘Green Energies’, this pavilion’s major aim was to demonstrate Brazil’s progress in sustainable growth, including in energy production, and the country’s potential as a major carbon exporter. As comprehensively realized by Pico, the state-of-the-art stand wowed visitors with its digital wall and digital cubes showing a variety of charts, figures, animation effects and other informative content.

World Meteorological Organization Pavilion
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) appointed Pico for the design and build of their pavilion, as well as event management services. An intergovernmental organization with 193 member states and territories, their ambitious COP27 agenda focused on implementation, mobilising collective efforts for emissions reduction, and more.

OPEC Fund for International Development Pavilion
This distinctive and highly functional booth was designed to serve as a meeting point for strengthening cooperation on sustainable development.

Indonesia Pavilion
Emblazoned by the inspiring phrase ‘Stronger climate, action together’, the Indonesia Pavilion at COP27 attracted more than 3,500 delegates. The booth served as a forum for participants to share information and ideas on fighting climate change.

Israel Pavilion
Israel’s first-ever appearance at a UN climate conference made a memorable impression thanks to one of the largest pavilions at COP27. The design aimed to showcase the country’s game-changing technologies for fighting climate change.

Food and Agriculture Pavilion
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and The Rockefeller Foundation organized a distinctive series of events in the pavilion, bringing together decision-makers, including government and community leaders, farmers, academics, and other experts. The program focused on innovative solutions to help countries take effective climate action.

SEF (Stop Ecocide Foundation) Pavilion
Stop Ecocide Foundation had a pavilion co-hosted with the Republic of Vanatu at COP27. Speakers from various NGOs were invited to share about Ecocide Law at the pavilion.

In addition to the mentioned pavilions, Pico was also involved in the infrastructure production and installation, AV installation for pavilions of Guinea, the Netherlands, and Urgewald.
